Jane Pratt’s most recent endeavor is producing and hosting “GlobeStyling,” the go-to show for where to shop. GlobeStyling goes uptown, downtown and all around looking for stylish finds around the world.
“Kidbits” presents fun facts and history to children in an engaging and memorable way. The :60 segments are hosted by Virginia Mom (and former Richmond, VA broadcaster) Jane Pratt and her 7-year-old daughter, Carolyn. The educational vignettes have :18 of space built in for sponsor messaging and corporate customization.
Jane Pratt has lived from sea to shining sea working in various fields of journalism since graduating from the University of Missouri. Some highlights include being an advertising copywriter at BBDO in New York City where some of the accounts included Gillette Daisy Razors, GE Light Bulbs and Campbell’s Home Cooking Soup.
From New York, Jane moved to Kansas City, MO, where she was a copywriter at Valentine-Radford working on the accounts of the Missouri Lottery, Baker’s Square Restaurants, Pizza Hut and Butler Buildings.
Her westward expansion landed her in Los Angeles, then back east to Richmond, VA, where she now resides.
Jane was a TV news reporter and fill-in weather anchor for WRIC TV8 in Richmond in the 1990’s where she covered everything from crime and slime to controversy. She won a Virginia Association of Broadcasters award for her reporting of a major apartment complex fire. Jane produced and fronted many live reports and also anchored the weekend weather.
From TV news, Jane made the leap to the PR world at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield. There she was the company spokesperson, developed media, marketing and PR strategies and campaigns, wrote speeches for company president and CEO, media trained company officers, produced and voiced corporate videos and managed philanthropic contributions. Jane created the award-winning “Stan the Superbug” campaign that taught kids and parents about antibiotic resistance.
She also managed the multi- media campaign for the H1N1 Vaccination effort for the Virginia Department of Health.
Jane currently lives in Richmond, VA, with her husband Robert and daughter Carolyn.
